The Edison High School Foundation
The Edison High School Foundation was created to raise funds for programs and services which promote educational excellence for the students of Edison High School. Our goal is to support and inspire students at all educational levels by providing the tools they need to succeed in the global community.
Through active partnerships with students, teachers, staff, parents, alumni and the community, the Edison High School Foundation has grown to more than 250 members. The Foundation Board is comprised of both parents and faculty. The Board also includes alumni to help carry forward established traditions of excellence, and community leaders to help students prepare for the next step in life’s journey.
The Foundation has touched the lives of every student at Edison High School. Each year our students are given a planner to help them fulfill their academic responsibilities. This planner is an excellent time management and organizational tool, and use of the planner is supported and encouraged by every member of the instructional staff. Edison High School is the only school in the district to provide these planners free of charge to all students. The funds for these planners, which exceed $8,000 per year, are provided by the Foundation, PTSA and Academic Booster Club. The Foundation has also donated funds to the Career and College Center to purchase new computer equipment and reference materials to help students research career and higher learning opportunities, raised funds to purchase web-coated picnic tables and benches for the bowl and special abilities cluster (SAC) areas, assisted the EHS band in purchasing new equipment for the pageantry corps, purchased a new PA system for the school, and purchased a video display board for the Administration building.
These achievements would not have been possible without your support. Edison High School and the Edison High School Foundation are successful because of the outstanding collaboration and communication within and among the academic, neighborhood and business communities.
