Our Volunteers

The Edison High School Foundation was created to raise funds for programs and services which promote educational excellence for the students of Edison High School. Our goal is to support and inspire students at all educational levels by providing the tools they need to succeed in the global community.

Through active partnerships with students, teachers, staff, parents, alumni and the community, the Edison High School Foundation has grown to more than 250 members. The Foundation Board is comprised not only of parents and faculty, but also includes alumni to help carry forward established traditions of excellence and community leaders to help students prepare for the next step in life’s journey.

Edison High School Foundation Helping Kids

The Foundation has touched the lives of every student at Edison High School. Each year our students are given a planner to help them fulfill their academic responsibilities. This planner is an excellent time management and organizational tool, and use of the planner is supported and encouraged by every member of the instructional staff. Edison High School is the only school in the district to provide these planners free of charge to all students. The funds for these planners, which exceed $6,500 per year, are provided by the Foundation. The Foundation also donated $5,000 to the Career and College Center to purchase new computer equipment and reference materials to help students research career and higher learning opportunities. The Foundation has raised more than $22,000 to buy new computer equipment and resource materials for the Career Center, web-coated picnic tables and benches for the newly renovated bowl and special abilities cluster (SAC) areas, and most recently assisted the EHS band in purchasing new equipment for the pageantry corps.

These achievements would not have been possible without your support. Edison High School and the Edison High School Foundation are successful because of the outstanding collaboration and communication within and among the academic, neighborhood and business communities.
